Tai Rosso
In the center of Veneto, in Northern Italy, lies the DOC of Colli Berici - a series of hills that were once an ancient seabed, and are now home to Giannitessari. This wine, made of a grape called Tai Rosso that many are not familiar with (though if you've heard of Garnacha, you're on the right track!), is rich with notes of red and black berries, and an earthy verdance that reminds one of lush forests. Winemaker and proprietor Gianni Tessari recommends boiled meats, salted cod, and cheeses to pair with this wine.
