Guido Porro 'Camilu' - Langhe Nebbiolo

Guido is the fourth generation at an estate that has always been passed from father to son, and despite the incredible quality of the wines his family has perfected over the years, he often flies under the radar due to his laidback and unassuming nature. 'Camilu' is 100% Nebbiolo, grown on limestone rich soils in his ampitheatre-like vineyards, giving them plenty of sunlight and protection from winds. The wine has a lovely bouquet of red cherry, strawberry and roses, and a nice subtle earthiness on the palate. Pair this one with ribeye steak, braised pork shank or earthy vegetables and flavors like garlic, leeks or butternut squash.
