Pinot Noir
Valle de Casablanca, Chile
In Situ Family Vineyards was founded in 1974 by José Vicente and his son Horacio who, after growing wine grapes for 20 years, decided to build a modern winery in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley. The fruit for this Reserva Pinot Noir comes from a single plot 24 km from the Pacific Ocean in the Casablanca Valley and benefits from Chile’s unique geography that creates an air conditioner effect — sucking in ocean air and cooling down the coastal areas, making them perfectly suited for varietals like Pinot Noir. This wine sees 8 months in French and American oak and exudes aromas of dark, macerated cherries alongside a subtle toastiness and soft tannins, making it the perfect companion to grilled Pacific Salmon.
