The Ioppa family has been making wine for centuries. Carefully stored in their family archives is a document from 1852 that states that Michaelangelo Ioppa had purchased the "best vineyard land in the local hills". These Nebbiolo grapes are grown in the northern Piedmont and are picked by hand in mid September, quickly pressed and then fermented for 40 days in stainless steel which gives a fresh acidity to this 100% Nebbiolo rose. Expect this to remind you of a strawberry lemonade with none of the sweetness. Pair with cold cuts or a light seafood dish!
