The name Jolie-Laide translates loosely to Pretty-Ugly, a French term of endearment to describe something that is unconventionally beautiful. These grapes are left as whole clusters, foot crushed, and aged in neutral oak. Natural yeasts for fermentation mean this wine is just a little bit funky, but juicy and fruit forward with lots of bright red cherry flavor.
