Marine Roussel, daughter of agronomist and owner Pierre Roussel, took her time finding her way back to her family's winery as she pursued her passion for graphic art. When she returned in 1989, she took the reins at the vineyard, concentrating her efforts on making wine that is balanced, pure and mineral driven. The winery itself is certified organic and biodynamic and the terroir is a nod to the Rhone Valley's clay and sandy soil that helps create a truly elegant red. This red is made with 65% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 8% Carignan and 7% Cinsault. Aromas of peonies, and bright red cherries grace the nose, while on the palate you will find focused minerality and notes of black pepper. Pair this with a hearty vegetable dish to help usher in cooler weather!
