Maison Joseph Drouhin has deep roots in the region dating back to the 1800s. Over the years the property was passed down through the generations, each one making advancements in the wine world. Today it is one of the largest estates spread across the Burgundy region. The property is overseen by three generations of the Drouhin family that protect the 100 hectares by utilizing organic and biodynamic farming. This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grown in clay and limestone soils before being aged in stainless steel and oak barrels for 6-10 months. Fruity and charming with tasting notes of lime, lemon, honey, vanilla followed by a mineral driven finish this wine pairs well with seafood dishes including oysters, creamy pasta dishes or rich French cheeses.
