K Vintners opened its doors in 2001 as Charles Smith’s Rhone-centric winery, dedicated to producing high-quality single-vineyard varietals. The Deal comes from the volcanic, sandy soils of the Sundance Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope, and offers a full-bodied range of flavors like dried shiitake, tangerine zest, red plum, and a thread of oak woven through to bring everything together. Pair with aged goudas and bleu cheeses, or rich char-grilled cuts of lamb.
