'Ray's Road' is Kumeu River's Newest vineyard site. The vines for the Chardonnay are planted on a limestone hillside at 180m above sea level. The vineyard is dry farmed to ensure a high quality yield and the grapes undergo whole cluster press and fermentation with wild yeast. The wine spends 11 months in aged French Oak barrels which lends itself to the zesty characteristics this wine possesses. White flowers and lemon greet you on the nose and the acidity, vanilla, and baking spices notes are well-balanced in the mouth. Pair with a creamy risotto dish.
