The Tessari family started La Cappuccina in 1890 and it is still proudly operated by the 4th generation of family members. Located in the Soave D.O.C. and just outside of Verona, this family owned winery has been practicing organic since 1985, making them not only one of the leading organic producers in Italy, they are also one of the first to be certified. This wine is made from 100% Garganega grown on 60 year old pergola-trellised vines. In addition to their unique growing structure, they are also grown in volcanic basalt soils 200 meters above sea level which creates a wine with singular depth and complexity. Tasting notes of crisp stone fruit complemented by citrus and white flowers make this white an excellent pairing for not only seafood and light meats, but also rice dishes with vegetable sauces.
