Before the 1960’s, the Bartlet’s (founders of the winery) were having a hard time producing wine of high value. Most of it was sold in bulk and at the time milk was bringing in more revenue than any of their wines. They decided to take a bold leap and focus solely on viticulture with the hope to produce high quality, refined wines worthy of profit. Now this family operated, and practicing organic winery has mastered production and we are so excited to share this 100% Altesse with you. These vines, rooted in clay and limestone soils, come from the La Cave du Prieure winery in Savoie, France. You will find notes of lemon, pear, and bruised fruit alongside rich texture. Pair this with seared halibut or use as an aperitif.
