This family owned winery was started in the 1960s by husband and wife Guiseppe and Lidia Rivetti. Their children eventually took over, implementing everything their parents had taught them. Today, they focus on indigenous Italian grape varietals and have acquired additional properties throughout Piedmont and Tuscany to expand their business. This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grown in sandy soils and then aged in French oak for 24 months, creating a savory yet velvety red with tasting notes of berries, violets and Mediterranean spices. The winemaker suggests pairing with red wine Beef stew with Polenta or Ribollita soup.
