Ferraton Pere & Fils has been a major player in the Rhone Valley for over 70 years since it was established by Jean-Örens Ferraton. In more recent years, however, this reknowned producer has been branching out into the nearby Languedoc area of Southern France. A blend of Syrah and Grenache from clay and calcareous soils on hillsides, this wine is plush but structured with flavors of ripe dark plum, raspberry and a touch of black pepper. Enjoy it with aged Gouda, seared lamb shanks or classic beef burgers.
