Les Vignerons du Brulhois is a certified organic cooperative winery in the Cotes de Gascogne region of France. Cooperatives became popular in Europe post WWII, particuarly in countries like France and Italy, where many growers tended to vines but didn't always have access to winemaking facilities. The vines are exposed to a mixture of cool ocean climate and warm Mediterranean breezes and the vineyard itself lies near a river creating rich, clay-limestone soils and benefiting the grapes year round. This medium-bodied white is a blend of 70% Sauvingon Blanc and 30% Gros Manseng producing tasting notes of pear, grapefruit and tropical fruit. This wine is very versatile and pairs well with foods ranging in summer salads with goat cheese to Asian dishes.
