This enjoyable Pinot Noir is part of the Schug Winery family. While the winery's vineyards are located all around northern California, they plant cool climate-loving Pinot Noir on the hills of the Carneros. Though most southerly than most of Sonoma County, Carneros receives cooling morning fogs and breezes from the San Pablo Bay. Pinot Noir needs a long ripening season to fully develop complex flavors, so the Carneros produces elegant and delicious wine. You'll find classic red cherry and strawberry notes alongside a pronounced oak profile of spice and vanilla.
