Located just outside of the city of Lisbon, the area surrounding the Tejo river in Portugal has a rich wine history and viticulture dating back to the Roman times. Leziria itself is part of the largest cooperative in Portugal which includes 200 members and 2000 hectares of vines. This red is made from a true 'field blend' of native Iberian varietals including 30% Castelao, 30% Aragonez, 30% Trincadeira Preta and 10% 'others'. With tasting notes of dark fruit and smooth tannins this makes a great table wine and we recommend serving it with a slight chill. Pairs well with firm, salty cheese like Queijo de Cabra Transmontano.
