Lingenfelder Estate is owned by a family with a rich winemaking heritage spanning 14 generations. The Pfalz region, where their vineyards are located, has a winemaking tradition dating back to Roman times in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Today, Lingenfelder's 15 hectares primarily feature native varietals such as Riesling, Scheurebe, and Spätburgunder. This particular wine, grown in the Mosel Valley, is a 50/50 blend of Riesling and Sylvaner, a highly underrated German white varietal. The blend offers a crisp, refreshing acidity balanced by fruity citrus flavors and a touch of residual sweetness.
