Lingenfelder Estate, owned by a family with a winemaking tradition spanning 14 generations, is deeply rooted in the Pfalz region of Germany, where viticulture dates back to Roman times in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. The estate spans 15 hectares, predominantly planted with native varietals such as Riesling, Scheurebe, and Spätburgunder. However, this wine is crafted from 100% Dornfelder, a relatively new varietal in Germany, created in 1955 by cross-breeding other German varietals. This dry, lean red features fruity notes of red fruit and spice and is best enjoyed slightly chilled. It pairs beautifully with holiday dinners and is perfect for sharing over a festive meal.
