Luc Pirlet 'Metairie' - Merlot - Pays d'Oc

These vineyards lay between the villages of Carcassonne and Limoux, near the Pyrenean mountains, not far from the Spanish border. The wine boasts lots of strong fresh fruit on the palate, masterfully blended to create a balance and delicacy unusual in a wine at this price. Plenty of ripe plum and soft fleshy fruit. Medium-bodied.
