Located in the hills of Marche, Italy, the MadonnaBruna winery was created in 1967 by winemaker Ferruccio Petracci and has stayed family-owned since. Now run by Ferruccio’s son Paolo, MadonnaBruna is known for cultivating some of the hallmark grapes in the region, namely pecorino. This expression of pecorino is grown using low impact cultivation, harvested by hand, and aged first in a steel tank then finished off in bottle for at least 6 months. This still white wine opens with notes of pineapple, salt, and white flowers and ends with a long finish. An ideal pairing with seafood, snag a bottle of this wine to go along with sushi, and linguine alle vongole.
