The son of Gerald Malat, Michael Malat has taken over his winery and is putting a new unique yet refreshing twist on the production of the wines. Even creating entry-level wines bursting with layers of flavor. This Gruer Veltliner in particular is filled with texture and more mature flavors which provide for a cooler weather white rather than a typical porch pounder Gruner. A bit of grapefruit on the nose following on the palate with lemon curd and light florals which are leveled out by a spice forward finish of nutmeg and white pepper this Gruner is a must try! Pair this with Drunken Goat cheese.
