Mark Ryan Winery began as a few tons of grapes in a friend’s garage in 1999, but this small group of producers who are simply passionate about Washington State and the beautiful wines that it has to offer have put themselves on the map. Monkey Wrench is named for its versatile nature (as well as a nod to winemaker Mark Ryan's favorite band, The Foo Fighters). With flavors of red cherry and currant, sweet tobacco, cedar and hints of hibiscus, this wine is easy to enjoy now or able to be cellared for years to come. It would make a great partner to leg of lamb, roasted eggplant or squash dishes or Roquefort cheese.
