Grown primarily in Rueda, Verdejo is the pride and joy of this central-north region of Spain. Spanish Verdejo can combine nutty, rich, and aromatic tones together with typical Sauvignon Blanc characteristics like grassiness and high acidity. Additional flavors of dried bay leaf, kiwi, and Meyer lemon sneak their way into the glass and add to the complexity of the wine. Clean and refreshing, this is truly the perfect summer or spring porch sipper. Oily fish and grilled caramelized seafood pair perfectly with the zesty citrus notes in the glass. Poultry dishes and Greek-style salads would also make wonderful accompaniments to this wine.
