This Spanish winery has been family owned for over 250 years and the passion for winemaking has been passed down through every generation. The family owns multiple vineyards totaling 60 hectares throughout the Alt Penedes region with the soil being mostly calcareous-clay with an abundance of lime. In 2013, they made the successful conversion to organic farming which helps them create the highly expressive and aromatic wines they’re known for producing. This sparkling white is made from a blend of Macabeau, Xarello and Parellada varietals, all estate grown fruit that is native to the Penedes region. After spending 18 months on lees, this wine has fine, creamy bubbles and tasting notes of tangerine, lemon curd and a touch of hazelnut. This wine is the perfect pairing for charcuterie or shellfish dishes.
