Montefresco ('fresh mountain') is aptly named for its ideal high elevation location in the Abruzzo region. The family that runs it have been wine merchants for 4 decades and pride themselves on only producting a few high quality varietals. Due to their high elevation, the grapes here are hand harvested before ultimately being fermented in stainless steel. This 100% Montepulciano boasts tasting notes of ripe cherry, red plum and a hint of sweet spice, making it the perfect pairing for pizza and pasta dishes.
