Made by a husband and wife duo, this is a classic family operation of only 3 hectares. This wine consists of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Malvasia Nero, and spends a decent amount of time in oak. Winemaker Saverio Basagli is a master of the oak barrel and uses it to highlight the wines instead of masking flaws like others in the area do. This is a wine that is worth aging for another 5-7 years if you have the patience!
