Giorgio and Rossana Nicolini and their son Eugenio farm one hectare of vines in Friuli Venezia-Giulia, and it is this tiny family-owned and operated property that brings us this bright, refreshing Piccola Nera. All grapes are hand harvested in small baskets and the juice rests with the skins between two and three days before undergoing spontaneous yeast fermentation. The final wine is juicy, with a delightful ruby hue and a light tannin – its bright, fresh, fruity and immensely drinkable
