80% Grenache 10% Syrah 10% Mourvedre
Sablet Cotes du Rhone Villages, France
This Domaine has deep roots in the Rhone region, their founding family patriarch having planted their first vines over 100 years ago. Today, it remains family owned and was recently been passed down to brother and sister team Isabelle and Julien, making the fifth generation to run the estate. This particular wine is harvested from old vines made from a blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah and spends 10 months in French oak barrels before being bottled. The result is a red with well-balanced tannins and tasting notes of cocoa, dark cherry, pepper and tobacco. It has a cellar potential of 10-15 years or can be enjoyed now with venison stew or truffles.
