Bodegas Ostatu is a fully organic family winery located in the the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, in the town of Samaniego. ‘Valdepedro’ is one of their single vineyard expressions of Tempranillo. Grown on limestone soils with small amounts of clay and sitting at 630m altitude, this vineyard is surrounded by a grove of holm oaks, oaks, junipers, thyme, lavender, and old olive and almond trees, creating an expression of Cantabrian mountain viticulture. Expect plenty of notes of red fruit, coffee, cocoa and spices, with freshness and finesse on the palate.
