Poderi Parpinello is a dream come true for cofounders Giampaolo and his son Paolo. In early years, Giampaolo would take his children through the vineyards where they would look up and exclaim ‘Ala Blanca’! Ala Blanca translates to ‘white wing’ which the children would use to refer to the seagulls soaring over the vineyard. The father and son duo took this joyous moment from their past and created a wine that gives us the same excitement. This wine is 100% Vermentino from Sardegna, Italy. Vermentino is the most widely planted grape in Sardegna. The grapes go through cold maceration and are completely unoaked. Notes of lemon, citrus, stone fruit, and bitter almond are presented with wonderful texture. Enjoy this one on a warm weather day with a lemon butter tilapia or crab linguini.
