Founded in 2007 by third generation winemaking brothers Peter-Allan and Andrew Finlayson, Crystallum is located in Walker Bay. This is one of the coolest winemaking regions in South Africa, making it an ideal growing site for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Despite initially starting with Sauvignon Blanc, Crystallum now exclusively produces single-vineyard and multi-vineyard blends of these two Burgundian varietals. 'Peter Max' is a blend of fruit from several vineyards, resulting in a well-balanced and complete expression of Walker Bay Pinot Noir. Expect vibrant notes of juicy raspberries, rhubarb, red plum and licorice, all supported by a subtle smokiness and laser-like acidity. Enjoy alongside duck rillettes, roasted root vegetables or grilled cheese with Gruyere and bacon.
