The Tollini Vineyard is located in Mendocino County's Redwood Valley and was originally planted by Alvin Tollini's grandfather as a head-trained, dry-farmed vineyard. Many of the gnarly, old-vine Zinfandel vines still produce fruit, and it is these grapes that go into Peterson's Tollini Vineyard Zinfandel. This is textbook Zin: full-bodied, rich and dense with great concentration of dried and over-ripe black fruits, soft tannins and silky mouthfeel. Though, there is great life and energy to the wine, it is extremely well-balanced. The finish is long and intense.
