Nestled in the southern Rhône Valley, Piaugier is a family-owned vineyard spanning 70 acres. The vineyard's 60 plots, with vines aged between 35 and 45 years, are planted in a mix of sandy soils and clay-limestone sands. This exceptional blend of 80% Grenache Noir and 20% Syrah showcases the region’s signature style, offering flavors of ripe red berries, black cherries, and subtle notes of pepper and garrigue. Hand-harvested grapes are carefully destemmed before undergoing a 2- to 3-week maceration process in concrete tanks, allowing the wine to develop its rich character and depth. Perfectly paired with dishes like roasted lamb with herbs or a hearty ratatouille, this wine is a versatile companion to a variety of Mediterranean-inspired cuisines.
