The Picchioni Andrea winery is a small winery made up of just seven hectares located in Canneto Pavese in the Solinga Valley of Italy. Their wine journey began in 1998 by harvesting from old vines on the property. They have since worked hard to maintain the biodiversity of the vineyard and became certified organic in 2014. The varietals used in this wine are Croatina, Barbera, and Ughetta di Solinga – the percentages of which change with each vintage. With tasting notes of dark fruit – including blackberries and cherry – wild raspberries, and rosehip, this red blend pairs well with a bold pasta or roasted meat.
