Despite its home in the region of Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, Poggio al Tesoro's story actually begins in Italy's northeasten Veneto region. Marilisa Allegrini, owner of Veneto's esteemed Allegrini Estate, fell in love with Bolgheri's breathtaking views and its potential to create beautiful wines. Before long, Poggio al Tesoro was born – a special place to mix Allegrini’s history of Italian winemaking tradition with Marilisa’s innovation, imagination and passion. Made of 100% Vermentino grapes, 'Solosole' is textured and round on the palate, but still fresh and crisp with a bouquet of apricots, tropical fruit and acacia. Enjoy alongside pesto dishes or spinach quiche.
