Powell and Son started as dream by a father that has now been passed on to his son. Dave Powell dropped out of college to travel the world in the 1980s. It was in Scotland that he met his future wife and they moved back to Powell's home of South Australia. They began working vineyards in Barosssa and traveling the world before deciding to try their own hand at bringing some of the century-old vines back to life. After 5 long years they were successful and have since produced international recognition for their wines.Today, Dave and his son Callum work together on their SIX vineyards and they pride themselves on their organic and biodynamic practices. 'Riverside' is a blend of Grenache, Mataro (better known as Mourvedre) and Shiraz. With Grenache being the most dominant, you will taste juicy red fruit accompanied by notes of leather and spices from the Shiraz and Mataro. Pair this blend with BBQ and roast peppers.
