Produttori di Manduria’s “Uni” Fiano 2024 is a bright, food-centric white from Puglia’s sunbaked Salento peninsula, crafted by one of the region’s oldest cooperatives. The 20-year-old vines are grown on limestone soils with the aid of cooling Adriatic breezes. It is 100% Fiano and is vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity and aromatics. The result is pale straw colored wine in the glass with notes of green apple, pear, melon, and orange blossom, framed by lean citrusy acidity and a subtle saline minerality. Round in its mouthfeel, it’s satisfying without being heavy. A clean, dry finish keeps it utterly drinkable. Versatile and food friendly, Uni shines with grilled whole fish, seafood risotto, lemon-dressed salads, or light pork and poultry dishes. Serve well chilled to highlight its refreshing coastal character.
