Quinta do Correio - Dao - red blend

Quinta do Correio is a winery in Portugal’s Dão region, which is famous for its rich, full-bodied reds. The winery is named after an old post office located near the vineyards in the rugged foothills of the Serra de Estrella mountains.This is a blend of 45% Jaen (Tinta Mencia), 35% Touriga Nacional, 10% Alfrocheiro, 10% Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo). The wine has notes of blackberries and raspberries, as well as baking spice, dried herbs, and a hint of smoke. It would be outstanding paired with cured or smoked meats, as well as the rich flavors of barbecued chicken!
