After studying winemaking in Mendoza in his youth and assisting in countless harvests in winemaking regions across the globe, Argentina native Mattis Riccitelli established his own winery in 2009. His vineyards sit at altitudes between 1000m and 1700m above sea level and he prides himself on purity and tenderness in his winemaking. Hand harvesting and meticulous fruit selection both at the time of harvest and prior to fermentation, only native yeast strains (adding to the distinct Argentine terroir expression that shines through all of his bottlings) and fermentation in large concrete eggs, which allow for gentle, natural movement of the wine during vinification in a way that cannot be replicated in oak or stainless steel, are just a few of his hallmark winemaking practices. This blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay is richly textured with notes of apple, pear, white nectarine and a pleasant pop of citrus. Pair this one with chicken saltimbocca or pasta with roasted garlic sauce.
