The grapes for this wine are grown on the the stony Villafranchian terraces of the Gard, known for their vineyards of limestone sand, red clay, and pebbles. Crushed cherry and ripe red plum dominate, but not without touches of violets, graphic and black pepper. Try it alongside herbed mushroom dishes!
