Sourcing organically-grown grapes from surrounding vineyards, Samuel Louis Smith solely focuses on producing chardonnay, gamay noir, pinot noir, and cool-climate syrah. Each label is unique as they utilize Sam’s own original watercolor paintings. ‘Les Granitiers’, the French name for a granite quarry worker, was so named for the granite-based soils of Monterey County. Fermented in stainless steel using native yeasts, this light-bodied wine has notes of apricot, lemon zest, nectarine, and a touch of florality and butter on the finish. Pair with baked salmon, pork loin, and aged cheeses.
