After fully renovating the vineyards that surrounded the Archbishop’s Palace at Capriva for two decades, the property was granted to winemaker Mario Schiopetto in 1989. Eventually, as the estate grew, his children Maria Angela, Carlo, and Giorgio joined their father in cultivating high-quality vines and producing first-rate wines. Sold to the Rotolo family in 2014, Mario’s mission and vision remain at the center behind each vintage produced. This medium-bodied wine is grown in fresh clay soil with fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks. Notes of delicate florals are met with tropical fruit and warm citrus. Pair with roasted asparagus and root vegetables, lightly cooked shellfish, and sushi.
