Hailing from the Victoria region in South Australia, this wine's name comes from the celebration of the "Returned Soldiers Settlement Act" of 1915 that rewarded Australian soldiers with a block of land that often led to planting vineyards. Many of these vineyard blocks are still in use today. This vintage was made from almost 100% Shiraz with just a touch of Malbec, giving it a bright, aromatic medium-full body. Tasting notes of dark bramble fruit, including black currant and cranberry, and spice make this a great pairing for Moroccan lamb tagine or roasted vegetables.
