Solena - Pinot Gris

Purchased by Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu in May 2000 as a wedding gift to each other, the 80 acres in Willamette Valley would later be named for their daughter, Solena. The name itself a combination of the Spanish and French words Solara and Soleil, celebrating the sun, moon and cycles of life. This is a nod to their choice to farm using biodynamic practices. Made from 98% Pinot Gris with just a touch of Gewurtztraminer, this aromatic white wine is fruit-forward with a creamy, refreshing body. Honeysuckle and apple on the nose gives way to tasting notes of lemon zest, lychee and pear. Pair with creamy pasta or a summer salad.
