Established in 1882, Spottswoode was acquired by Mary and Jack Novak in 1972 - and 10 years later, exactly one hundred years after its founding, Mary released Spottswoode's first Cabernet Sauvignon. Spottswoode has since become a multi-generational family winery and established itself as a reputable producer of elegant, complex and age-worthy wines. The 2018 Cabernet is no exception - notes of black cherry, red raspberry, citrus blossom, bergamot and plum followed by fragrant earth, tobacco leaf and pencil lead. Silky, delightful tannins and vibrant acidity give promise that this is a wine that will continue to impress for years to come.
