Well established third generation winemakers, the Porretta family are no strangers to the Mendoza region of Argentina and all that the high-altitude clay-loam soil and cool climate has to offer. Founded in 2002, Bodega Staphyle was rebuilt from a winery originally built in the 1930’s and the family has since been fundamental in the continued growth of the Mendoza region. Staphyle Premium Malbec is a youthful, bright expression of malbec, fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated for 25 days. Giving fruity notes of plums, cherries, and blackberries, this wine has a nicely balanced high acidity. Pair with savory dishes such as duck confit, lamb, and dark chocolate.
