Owner and winemaker Stefano Occhetti started out as a civil engineer traveling around Europe, but his heart always remained in his home of Langhe, Italy. Deciding to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps, Stefano left his career as an engineer to embark on a new journey in winemaking. ‘Sanche’ is grown on 70-year-old vines in sandy soil and at a high altitude. The grapes are then fermented for 3-4 weeks and aged for 20 months in tonneaux. In your glass expect to find notes of rose petals, bright red fruit, lavender, sage, and a touch of strawberry. Pair with red sauce pastas, roasted chicken, and truffle risotto.
