Tasca d'Almerita 'Regaleali' - Nero d'Avola

Tasca d'Almerita is a winery located in Sicily. Its dramatic oceanic influences make for a wonderful wine with a lot of power from a warmer growing season. They own several other estates, mostly in the northern [art of Sicily along the edge of the Nebrodi Mountains. The estate was planted to Pecorino and Nero d'Avola in 1959 and continues to thrive and produce wines of excellent value. Maybe some of the best in the world. 

On the palate the wine has a lightweight feel to it and dances across the tongue, hitting on all taste buds and signaling notes of black pepper, tart cherry, rosemary, and fresh mountain herbs. The tannins are fairly tame and subdued making it a perfect wine for food pairing.
