Tenuta Cappellina is small, privately owned artisian winery located in Tuscany. After acquiring the winery in 2021 they worked hard to irradicate the use of pesticides and chemincal fertilizers. They believe they need to leave the land better than they found it, which is also why 80% of the property is a natural wooded landscape where wild boars, porcupines and even wolves roam. This particular wine is 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo, creating a bold yet balanced red with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a crisp fruitiness. Aged in Slavonian Oak for 30 months, you can expect tasting notes of black fruit and herbs complemented by savory spices. An ideal pairing wine for hearty pasta dishes and aged cheeses.
