Renowned wine importer, Michael Skurnik started The Pinot Project in 2009 with a simple vision: a wine for the palate, the pocket and the people. The vision came to fruition with his first wine: a silky, well-balanced California Pinot Noir and he has since added pinot grigio and rose to the lineup. This rosé is made from 100% Pinor Noir, grown in the village of Vias in the Pays d’Oc region. This region lies on the Mediterranean coast of southern France and is famous for its wine production. The vines here are over 20 years old and are rooted in rocky, volcanic soils helping to create a crisp, mineral-driven wine. Notes of strawberry, melon and tropical fruit make this rosé the perfect pairing for a beach day with shrimp or vegetable kabobs on the grill or a watermelon and feta salad.
